Who This Is For

Built for artists who are already in the industry.

This course is designed for licensed PMU artists, cosmetologists, and estheticians who want to add brow tinting and lamination to their menu. Brow tinting and lamination are regulated as chemical, eye-adjacent services in most states and generally require an existing cosmetology or esthetics license to perform commercially — this course teaches the specific technique, product knowledge, and business skills on top of that foundation. If you're not yet licensed, check with your state board first; this certificate doesn't replace a state license.

This course is intended for students who already hold a cosmetology, esthetics, or PMU license. This certificate confirms completion of Arch & Lift Academy's training curriculum — it does not constitute a state cosmetology or esthetics license. Students are responsible for confirming that brow tinting and lamination fall within their existing license's scope of practice in their state before offering these services commercially.
FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need to already be licensed to take this course?

This course is built for PMU artists, cosmetologists, and estheticians who already hold a state license. Brow tinting and lamination are regulated in most states as chemical, eye-adjacent services requiring an existing license — Module 2 walks through how to confirm your license covers these specific services in your state.

Is this certification the same as a state license?

No. This is a Certificate of Completion showing you've completed Arch & Lift Academy's training curriculum and passed the final exam — it demonstrates specialized technique and knowledge on top of your existing license. It's not a substitute for any state licensing you're required to hold.

How long do I have access to the course?

Lifetime access — study at your own pace and revisit the material anytime.

What do I need to practice the techniques?

A compliant tint or stain product, a brow lamination kit, basic sanitation supplies, and a model or mannequin head. A full supply list and recommended supplier guide is provided in the course.

What's the difference between brow tint and brow stain?

Tint colors the hair with little to no lasting color on the skin. Stain colors both the hair and the skin underneath for a bolder, longer-wearing, more filled-in look. The course covers both, including when to recommend each to a client.

What if I don't pass the final exam?

Retakes are included at no extra cost.

Where is the in-person model day held, and how does scheduling work?

In York, Maine. Once you enroll in the Full Experience, you'll get a scheduling email within 1–2 business days with available dates — most students train within 60–90 days of enrolling, but there's no deadline pressure. Travel and lodging are on you, but we're happy to help you plan around your date.

What's in the starter kit?

Professional tint, stain, and lamination products, plus applicators, barrier cream, and brow mapping tools — the same supplies covered in the course's sourcing guide (Appendix F), included with the Full Experience tier.

What's included on training day, and what's not?

Included: the full hands-on training day, live models, direct instruction and feedback, and your starter kit. Not included: travel, lodging, or meals — York makes an easy day trip or overnight from most of New England, and we'll help you plan logistics once your date is set.

What if I need to reschedule my in-person day?

Life happens — you get one free reschedule with at least 7 days' notice. If Jennie needs to cancel your date due to weather or an emergency, you'll be rebooked at no cost, no questions asked.

Can I get a refund?

All sales are final. If you need to move your in-person training day, you're covered by the one free reschedule above.

Can I upgrade from Course Only to the Full Experience later?

Yes — reach out after enrolling and we'll apply your $199 toward the $799 price.
